Free templates: tenant self-disclosure, handover report, moving checklist
Last updated: 25 October 2026
Looking for a flat, moving in and moving out: the same forms come up every time. Here you find them as PDF. The forms are in German, as landlords in Wels expect them. You can fill them in in your browser and save them, or print them and fill them in by hand.
When you look for a flat
- Tenant self-disclosure (Mieterselbstauskunft) (PDF, 2 pages): details on you, your job and your income that many landlords ask for before signing. Includes a data protection notice for the landlord.
When you move in or out
- Handover report for a rented flat (Übergabeprotokoll) (PDF, 2 pages): condition of each room, meter readings and keys. Fill it in again when you move out and you can see in writing what has changed. That helps when it comes to the deposit.
- Key handover (Schlüsselübergabe) (PDF, 1 page): which keys go to whom, what for and until when.
- Moving checklist (Checkliste Umzug) (PDF, 1 page): from registering your address to forwarding your mail. You must register within three days of moving in.
- How to air your flat (Richtig lüften) (PDF, 2 pages): how to keep mould out of your new home.
When you buy
- Handover report for a purchase (PDF, 2 pages): handing over a flat or house to the buyers, with meter readings, keys and documents.
The templates are samples without warranty and do not replace legal advice. What belongs in a rental contract is explained in the guide Rental contract, the deposit in Deposit. Free flats are in the search.
